To assist you in better understanding the services we can offer, we have assembled a collection of commonly asked question and answers.  If you don’t see an answer to what you’re looking for, please get in contact at info@rainbowrespite.com or submit a new enquiry below.

Booking & Cancellations

  • Bookings are made by getting in touch via our booking form, by e-mail or calling us. We will organise necessary forms and information to be sent out and advise availability for your desired dates.

  • Rainbow Respite offers stays of 2 to 28 days at a time. We welcome regular stays and can book our clients in for alternating weekends or weeks to support their ongoing respite needs.

  • We understand that sometimes cancellations can be unavoidable, and we will work with you to provide a refund in these situations.

Cost & Payment

  • Please get in touch with us to confirm pricing, which is based on length of stay, and also any additional activities you request or extra assistance support levels required.

  • Fees will vary depending on the length of your stay and based on any special additional assistance or requirements.

We are now taking bookings! Our friendly staff would love to discuss
your upcoming respite needs and welcome your enquiries.

Care, Facilities & Activities

  • STA allows participants to have a short break away from their home routine, while maintaining regular arrangements of carers.

  • Our care ratio is 2:1. If you have high support needs that require 1:1 care, please let us know at the time of booking.

  • Rainbow Respite is staffed by caring, experienced and compassionate Support Workers who have current Police checks, Blue and Yellow Cards and First Aid and CPR training.

    They also love the work they do and aim to provide a “home away from home” level of comfort with lots of great activities and outings.

  • At this stage, Rainbow Respite does not have full wheelchair accessibility, although it may be something we change in the future.

    We will update this section if we are able to offer this!

  • Rainbow Respite offers a wonderful selection of outings and activities, including art, strawberry picking and garden days as well as local outings to the beach, cafes and the movies and day trips to attractions such as Australia Zoo. Please have a look here for more information!

    We welcome suggestions from our clients and will accommodate requests where possible!

  • As a rule, although we love animals, Rainbow Respite ensures we can cater to the comfort and needs of both guests staying with us.

    If you have a support pet, please mention this on your application form and we will advise if we can cater to your needs at the time of booking.

  • Rainbow Respite is very happy to cater to dietary requirements such as food allergy or intolerances – please make sure to list these clearly on your application.

    We can also cater for vegetarians and vegans, and can work around other requests as long as we are made aware at the time of booking.

  • Rainbow Respite offers three seperate rooms, Two Queen sized and one with two single beds.

    This can be utilised for a maximum of three guests at a time.
